These tears fell so slow
These tears fell so slow
As if they were heavy and dragged onto my skin
Each second an inescapable despair I’d never felt
Telling me that if this pain ever ceases,
So does my awareness of the magnitude
They fell and dragged their warmth
Like claws of an eagle
Creating crow’s feet
Where my blood warmly drips
And hides into the brown forest
A few small moments of breathing
Late in the night, and dried up tears
The covers are slowly pulled over
The film of dried tears pulling them down
Ignoring my memory of those 3 seconds repeating
Then disappear
As I grow too weary
Of the strength in the empathy
Belonging to my heart
